The initial genre from my music magazine is a new rock, alternative rock.
I would like the target audience to be males aged 14-25, generally any people that have a taste in music. The audience would be smart, middle class but the magazine will be informal, and for a way to see the latest music acts, and to escape.
The magazine will be national. It will be bi-monthly and will cost £3.50 per issue. The magazine will be available at superstores and via subscription (delivered to your door). It will also be online in an e-zine format and will only cost £2.00.
The magazine will have convergence with popular record labels. It will also have convergence with popular social networking sites such as facebook and twitter.
With the online e-zine, there will be print off coupons for the print version, links to free music downloads and live links with social networking sites.
The e-zine will have different adverts than the print version.
The magazine will be informal, have a brief editoral, (1/3 of a page), lots of pictures and be an 'easy read' but still be informative.
Similar music magazines will be Kerrang, NME and Mix Mag because they are all professional and have a relaxed attitude to music.

Contents Page
This is my school magazine contents page. It is very bad and does not follow any conventions. There is not much structure and the colours do not follow the magazine house style.
Making this contents page, i have learned lots of skills which will help me to make my music magazine.
When i make the music magazine, i will do a lot more research and follow the conventions of similar music magazines.
This way i will be able to target my audience and make my magazine popular.
The school magazine does not have as many pages as my music magazine will have so making a contents page with little content was difficult.
The whole school magazine has been an interesting experience and i have learnt a lot. My music magazine will be a lot more professional. The pictures will be taken properly, with good quality and taken from a variety of angles.

Rambler
The preliminary task of making a school magazine did not go to plan. We did not have the photoshop skills to do our idea. The main image was very blurry because we did not know how to use the camera properly.
This project has been a great learning curve and we have learnt many new skills and when we create our music magazine, we will put these in place and hopefully create a much better magazine front cover, double page spread and contents page.
We have also learnt how to use the camera sufficiently and can take great pictures using a variety of shots. We also found that what looked good on paper, did not look as good on the computer. So maybe next time we will create drafts on the computer and edit them to make them better.

Rambler Magazine Ideas
We have chosen to stay with the name 'Rambler'. The letters a,b,l,e are highlighted a different colour to show the word able. This will be in the slogan.
For the masthead, we have chosen to have a bus with the Rambler text as graffiti.
When we took pictures for our magazine, the camera was constantly on close up mode. So all of our pictures are really out of focus.
The next time we take pictures, we will ensure that close up mode is not on so that we have a good quality pictures.
